When Tao first came to Korea, he didn’t know Korean at all. He first saw Xiumin practicing, and since he watched a lot of Korean dramas, he said “Xiumin oppa, hello!” even though “oppa” is only used by women. Xiumin was in the middle of dancing, and was shocked, and thought that Tao was a girl for a second.
